Regarding the inappropriate behaviour at the sparkling wine truck area of the Teekkari Dipping 1.5.

The Teekkari dipping went mainly nicely, but unfortunately it has come to our attention that there were cases of inappropriate behavior during the event. Yesterday, on Monday 1 May, the sparkling wine truck (“skumpparekka”) was closed ahead of time due to inappropriate behavior that happened during the event. The Teekkari Union of Tampere condemns harassment and inappropriate behavior, and our events follow TREY's principles of safer spaces. We are treating the matter with the seriousness it requires and will publish a more extensive statement when we have collected more information about what has happened.

TREY’s harassment contact person Laura Kaipia is available to meet students in Loimio PA215 tomorrow, on Wednesday 3 May, at 9.30-11 AM. Everyone who has experienced or witnessed harassment or inappropriate behavior in the event is welcome to talk with her at a low threshold if the matter is bothering you.
