Year 2022's teekkari event, tempaus and representative have been chosen

This year, Teekkari union of Tampere will award the "Teekkari event of the Year", "Teekkari tempaus of the Year" and "Teekari council representative of the Year" awards to active members of the community. Congratulations to those selected! With these, Teekkari union of Tampere wishes everyone a very happy New Year!

The teekkari event of the year

” The teekkari event of the year is an incredible teekkari-spirited event, that can be something completely new or an already traditional annual event. The event exhumes the teekkari spirit.”

This year's teekkari event of the year was organized for the second time. The event embodied the teekkari spirit of community and openness by bringing together members of several different guilds and creating an open and supportive environment for singing, which is also an essential part of the teekkari culture. The teekkari event of the Year is the Guildhall karaokesauna!

The teekkari tempaus of the year

” The teekkaritempaus of the year has dealt with an important topical or common issue on a local or national level. The issue has been unselfish with regard to teekkaris. The teekkaritempaus showed teekkaris in a good light and raised the confidence of teekkaris. The teekkaritempaus was not a protest and it was performed in good spirits.”

This year, instead of a tempaus, it was decided to award a tempaus organiser. This tempaus organiser has already been doing different kinds tempaus at TARAKI for two years. This year's tempaus was the World Academic Donation Championships, where the entire university community was involved in blood donation activities. In the autumn, this active person also organised the FIT-FOR-55 Circular Economy tempaus, which promoted recycling on the Hervanta campus. With his active approach, this tempaus organiser has developed and inspired the tempaus culture in Tampere. The teekkari  tempaus organiser of the Year in Juho Lautala!

The teekkari council representative of the year

“The teekkari council representative of the year has handled his/her duties as a representative exemplarily without shying away from the issues at hand. He/she has had active discussions inside and outside meetings.”

The person chosen for the teekkari council representative of the year has shown interest in the affairs of the teekkari community throughout the council year. She has taken different opinions into account in meeting rooms and coordinated different views with a calm attitude. This helpful person has been happy to explain the intricacies of meeting technology to others, brought her views to the board and contributed to a constructive discussion culture. She has boldly brought up her opinions and with her own attitude has also encouraged others to be part of the ongoing discussion. The teekkari council representative of the year is Hilla Mäkinen
