POSITION
Event Responsibles
HI! Here is the Teekkari section’s events team, Katriina, Onni, Mette, Aaro and Richard. The Event team’s main responsibility is to organize events for the whole teekkari community. Traditional and annual events that the section organizes include teekkari sitsis, relative sitsis, pre-Christmas cruise, Herwanta Race and the lowering of teekkari cap. On top of the traditional events leaving your own mark is possible by organizing for example an international event or an event for wappu, this year it was sillis for everyone called Väli Kuolema in bommari. As an event responsible you can have the ability to also organize events with the Teekkari section in Otaniemi, one of which is Wappu Exchange.
As an event responsible, you have the chance to participate in organizing both large and smaller events, where the number of participants goes from a few dozen people to more than a thousand. Gaining a lot of experience is certain!
As an event responsible, one or more years of experience in, for example, guild or club event activities is beneficial. However, with enthusiasm, motivation and the spirit of doing things, you can go a long way! You can also apply to be an event responsible if you want to implement a new project, the likes of which the section or the entire teekkari community has not seen yet!
Lukkaris
Kilinkolin kilinkolin!
Hi there, we are the songmasters of Teekkari section, Jasper and Samuli. If you have been at sitsis, you might already know what a songmaster does. Just like at sitsis, the main responsibility of Teekkari section's songmaster is to maintain and improve our beloved singing culture. In addition to songmastering numerous sitsis and anniversary parties, the songmaster organises singing nights and songmaster trainings. The traditional Wappu event, Mega Singing Night, is a good example.
If you are thinking about applying, previous experience in songmastering, sitsis, anniversary parties, and singing culture is definitely a plus. A A teekkari sings rather than good and there's plenty of room in between the notes, so don't fret about a missing singing voice. It's not a drawback to have a musical background, however! If you feel at home throwing yourself into unexpected situations and performing in front of others, the post of songmaster is yours to take.
Now it's time to put in your application!
Culture responsibles (teekkari museum)
Hello everyone! We are this year's museum responsibles, Petteri and Kaisa. Teekkari museum is a cornerstone of teekkari culture in Tampere, and offers possibilities for reminiscing ye olde times or learning new things. This is exactly why this post is a prime oppoturnity for leaving your mark on this showcase of what being a teekkari is all about! During this year we have expanded the museum's collection and trained new guides.
That's not all there is to do, though! There are still many improvements to make, which you will have almost free rein to do. Being a walking encyclopedia of teekkari culture and its history may be useful, but absolutely not necessary, you will learn everything as you go. The most important thing is enthusiasm to improve our museum! Additionally, the museum responsibles won't be locked up in the display case (at least not for the entire year), you can take part in organising the other teekkari section's events as much as you like.
In contrast to previous years, the museum responsible is primarily recruited for a two-year term this time. This will allow better long term planning and more improvements.
With historical wishes,
Petteri ja Kaisa, museum responsibles 2022

Culture responsibles (tempaukset)
Are you interested in putting together something wacky and wild, or just something comfy and cozy?
Tempaus is a word with no direct translation in this context, but it means getting our wonderful teekkari community together to do something for the common good. A tempaus event is light-hearted and all sides are left with a good feeling about it, but the specific events will reflect the people organising it. This year's events include a formal party clothes flea market, selling donuts, a wellness-marathon, and christmas cards.
Tempaus responsible is just the post for you, if you are an active organiser and have ideas for new tempaus events. In this post you will need a can-do attitude, since it's likely there is no ready-made template for an event. You can also take part in organising any other Teekkari section events, so you can make a difference elsewhere too!
With tempaus wishes,
Janita and Late, tempaus team 2022

Anniversary gala responsibles
Hey!
We're this year's anniversary gala team: the Minister of Culture Josefiina and the Teekkari Section's anniversary gala responsibles Iida and Noora. The anniversary of the Teekkari Union is meant for every Teekkari and is one of the finest events of the year. The anniversary is celebrated in October.
The planning of the anniversary event is begun already at the start of the year, but majority of the work is done during the fall. So, you will have time to take part to planning and organizing other Teekkari Section events during the year as well.
The anniversary event is a big project, and it consists of diverse tasks for all the members of the team, depending on their interests and skills. The best part of organizing the anniversary team is that you get to implement your own ideas as much as you like. And what could be better than making the anniversary event look like the team that organized them!
Communications responsible
Hiya!
Do you want to keep tabs on what's happening, but an event responsible's post doesn't feel quite right? Do you know Canva like your back pockets
and is creating event graphics and texts a walk in the park? Then you might be Teekkari section's next communications responsible! The post includes making sure all communication about events is up to par, which means checking the quality and timetables, and sending it out through the right channels.
Previous experience is definitely a plus. For example, writing and translating emails and announcements, being familiar with Facebook and Instagram or other social media, and knowing the basics of Wordpress. Graphical knowhow is also big advantage! This post requires scheduling event communications and sometimes reminding other Teekkari section members about communications, but also reacting to situations changing sometimes very quickly when an event is approaching. Remember too that many of these things can be learned by doing, even if you have no previous experience in everything listed here!
With communicative wishes,
Janita, communications responsible 2022
